OUR
Our love story starts somewhere in the middle of a mosh pit circa 2011. We were two freshmen at Chico State with a huge love for music, Tumblr, and anyone who wore cool band T-shirts. Shane majored in Communications and Sarah was a Music Industry major. They spent four crazy years there attending shows, producing shows, house partying, bar hopping, playing in bands, and studying really hard of course.
After graduating in 2015, they both moved back to their hometowns in the Bay where they found their footing in their careers and dove deeper into their hobbies. Shane was quickly hired by a reputable PR agency and continued working his way up until he landed his current gig in healthcare tech PR. He's proud to be using his tech savviness to make a positive impact in the world.
MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE THREAD
Simultaneously, Sarah worked her way through just about every music venue in San Francisco until landing on her current gig managing artist bookings and logistics at The Midway SF. They enjoy different hobbies - Shane is a big gamer and reader, Sarah is an avid climber and hiker - but music has always been the thread that ties them together.
From Warped Tour and metal bands in the early days, to SnowGlobe and electronic music, and now to just about anything with some soul in it, they are always each other's plus one. This connection was made EVEN stronger when Shane took up DJing. Sarah frequently books him on shows at her venue and he gets to set the stage for some of the biggest electronic acts in the world.
The two have been living together in Oakland, CA for the last 5 years and share a roof with their two kitties, Tom & Shawty, who they never shut up about. They're so excited to finally tie the knot on what is almost exactly the 15th anniversary of the day they met.
